Breakfast done indian Upma ( made from semolina).  Nampak  my helper pun senyap aje but work going on as normal so close one eye. My mum......nak tidur aje so have to let her sleep. Hubby pula lazing suppose tired because he accompanied me for shopping  ....which he NEVER likes , however thank you dear. Me pula malas.....feel like just duduk ....already 11.30.

So, wats for lunch....asked hubby ...know what's his cute answer " if u malas no need to cook but if you want can make vegetarian fish curry". So the moral of the statement is .... Masak aje I want home food.....ok no problem and done .

Andhra Mango Pickles

Today's project is marinating andhar mango pickles,

Pickles are a must in my house. Always used to get the ready made bottled pickles from the shops. However you will not find this authentic andhar mango pickles. Whenever any members of my family visit India, especially going to Andhara Pradesh, Visakapattanam we never return without these pickles. We can get a variety of them there.

So, today preparing pickles......

The credit goes to my dear amma because its from her that I picked up the receipe. The process is quite tedious. First you have to get green young mangoes, cut and marinated with salt with our weather  shinning one moment and cloudy the next. It took me a few days. It's now done and waiting to be stored. Hope tomorrow will be sunny also because need to sun the pickles and after about 2  weeks will be ready to be served. For now this is how it is.

Tea on a rainy afternoon

Tea  on a raining day.

Raining and dear hubby requested for Bajjis. Bajjis are the Malaysian gorengan like our  goreng  pisang. Only we use the Urud dhall flour ( tepung kacang kuda). Normally I would add some self rising flour so it gives the fluffiness and crunch. As I added water to make the batter I realized that it had a different texture. Naturally tasted....my Bajjis would be sweet instead of savory.  However, add some self rising flour to the batter and carried on to make the bajjis. This is how they turned out and my good hubby did not realize the difference . Probably he would have thought  another new receipe.  Thanks hubby dear and had our evening tea
